Rebecca Bryan certainly comes from an entrepreneurial background and happily labels herself a “chameleon” who knows the ins and outs of retail - and staying on top of the myriad of trends in the market is key to that success. From the forecasted trends of consumer habits, social media and e- commerce to the latest in colour, style and visual merchandising, in addition to the influence of tourism, this engaging seminar demonstrates what is on the horizon for Kiwi retailers and how to optimise this knowledge for your business and harness this to maximise your bottom line.
Rebecca brings a wealth of practical experience with her. Between six seasons working in Antarctica, (including two winters! ), she filled her time by managing retail stores in the USA, from small independents to large big box department stores with turnovers in excess of $20M. She then went on to establish a successful interior design firm specialising in homes $3M to $15M up and down the East Coast of the USA from her base in Charleston, South Carolina. Quickly building an enviable portfolio, with her work featured in five national magazines, she regularly attended the world’s largest furniture and gift trade shows in both High Point and Atlanta for over a decade, as both a wholesaler and a buyer. She also squeezed in opening a store, Zinnia, in Charleston which remains a thriving success.
Returning to New Zealand she has recently established an eclectic gift and design store, Atelier in the delightful French port of Akaroa where many tourists, locals and cruise ship passengers frequent the village throughout the year.
New Zealand is a unique market in the world. In this engaging seminar, Rebecca examines how Kiwi retailers can stay on top of global trends while bringing it all home to our shores, and making it relevant to engage the consumer in Kiwi brick and mortar stores and the vast online world of retail. With an entertaining style and a content that is sure to be relevant for your business, this seminar provides everyone with something to take away to grow their business.
