  • On Fair days, what time can I get in to prepare my stand each day

Access with security passes is permitted 1 hour prior to the Fair opening. You will not be able to gain access to the Halls without your exhibitor badge.

Exhibitors will be required to vacate the pavilions 5 minutes after the close of each show day.

If you need extra time to prepare your stand you will need to let 'Show Info' know so security can be advised.

  • What are the breakdown times

The pulling down or removal of equipment from stands is not permitted until the Fair officially closes. The Fair willl close to the public at 4pm on Tuesday, the third day of the Fair.


Everything must be removed by 12 noon, Wednesday, the day after the Fair finishes.

We urge all exhibitors to have personnel on your stand for the duration of breakdown to ensure stand security is maintained.

  • Are there special hotel accommodation rates for the Fairs

Rendezvous Hotel Auckland, Novotel & Ibis Ellerslie and The Quest Newmarket are hotel partners for Autumn and Spring Gift. Novotel & Ibis Christchurch, Rendezvous Christchurch and Chateau on the Park are the hotel Partners for Winter Gift.

  • Build up at the Fair

On arrival at the exhibition for build up, exhibitors should first check their stand. There you will find a white envelope, containing your exhibitor security badges. Please check them immediately and see us for any changes at Show Info.

It is imperative that exhibitors wear these passes at all times during build-up, breakdown and exhibition opening times to obtain access to the halls.  For security reasons, those without passes will be refused entry. 

Your Exhibitor badge will also give you entry to the Exhibitor Car Park.

Please ensure that your designers/contractors/builders all have badges to gain access to the Halls.

Vehicles are not permitted in the pavilions when carpet has been laid.  If you have heavy equipment that needs to be brought in by forklift and need access before the carpet has been laid, please contact Niamh Finn prior to build-up.

If you have deleted / lost the email that was sent to you with your login details please email 

  • Where do I enter my Gift magazine details

To enter your details for the Gift Magazine go to the 'Exhibitor Information' tab and choose 'Manage my Gift Fairs'

When you enter your login details you will be able to see the 'Gift Magazine' area where you can upload your information.

You can log out and re-enter these area up until the cut off dates.

  • How do I organise Exhibitor name badges

All staff working on your stand should wear an Exhibitor name badge.

To enter the names you need on your Exhibitor badges go to the 'Exhibitor Information' tab and choose 'Manage my Gift Fairs'

When you enter your login details you will be able to see the 'Exhibitor Badges' area where you can upload the names you need.

You can log out and re-enter these area up until the cut off dates.

  • What is the Gift magazine

The Gift magazine (formerly know as the Buyers Guide) is mailed out to all key visitors prior to the Fair. This gives visitors the opportunity to plan their Fair route and view the latest products in the New Product Showcase before they even get to the Fair.

As part of your show package, every exhibitor is entitled to one stand listing in the Gift magazine. You also have the option to advertise in the magazine also. (this is at an additional cost)

  • How thick are the panels on my stand

The panels are 4.4cm thick.

  • Can I nail or screw items to the panels

Definitely not. Please do not screw or nail any items to the panels. This would be considered damage and you would be charged for any damage to the panels. 

Art hooks and Velcro can be used for attaching signage etc to your stand. These can be purchased from Exhibition Hire Services during build up. Please go to their desk located in the Main Foyer.

  • Can I cut the carpet

No – absolutely not.  You would be charged the cost of a new carpet tile if the carpet is damaged.  If you would like your carpet tiles removed please contact Sharon, from Exhibition Hire Services , on +64 9 579 9884.

  • Is there storage onsite during the Fair

We have limited storage facilities for empty boxes and other items onsite.  Please enquire at the Show Info in the main foyer for locations.

  • How do I organise freight?

You can use a carrier of your choice or go with our recommended freight company Mondiale.  Mondiale has access to the halls before exhibitors are permitted to shift in, so when you arrive on Friday morning, your product will be already on your stand.  Contact details for Mondiale: Penny Haimona,  09 255 3317  or

  • Why have I received an invoice from FAIR Guide or EXPO Guide?

We have been advised that exhibitors at our shows are again being targeted by FAIR Guide and EXPO Guide for "Free" Directory Listings on their websites.
Unfortunately, this issue comes up time and again when our exhibitors are targeted through questionable tactics by online Exhibition Directories, such as the two highlighted here.

Before you sign up for ANY online listing directory, please ensure you read the fine print very carefully.
Please be aware that the fine print of their contracts includes a charge of approx US$1500 - US$1700 per year for a period of 3 years.
