Dear Winter Gift & Homeware Fair Exhibitors,
In light of the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation, it is with great disappointment, we must announce that the Winter Gift & Homeware Fair will not take place as scheduled on June 14-15, 2020 at the Horncastle Arena, Christchurch.
We have been closely monitoring the advice and counsel of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO), international organisers and professional events associations.
On Monday 16th March at 4pm, the Prime Minister updated the Government’s position specifically advising that mass gatherings of over 500 people should cancel, which applies to this event.
The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff is and will always be our top priority. We are entirely supportive of the Government’s position – regardless of the importance of events to the wider economy.
We have confidence that the Government’s strict measures will prove effective to a point that restrictions are lifted in the later part of the year, and with that in mind remain fully committed to holding our founding event The Spring Gift & Homeware Fair on 30 August – 1 September 2020 at the ASB Showgrounds, Auckland.
The Winter Gift & Homeware Fair will return to Horncastle Arena on 13-14 June, 2021.
