Do I need to register to come to the show?
If you have visited a NZ Gift Fair and have had your ID validated you will be emailed your personalised barcode two weeks prior to each fair. Print off this barcode email, bring it with you to the fair, scan it at any one of our e-badge stations and your entry badge will be printed for you. Please note: Your old blue bordered badges will no longer be valid.register online here>>.

What if I didn't receive the email with my barcode?
If you have already registered but didn't receive the email with your barcode entry pass, click on this link enter your details and the barcode will be emailed to you again.

How do I register to come to the show?

  • Please enter your details online to save the $20.00 onsite registration fee.
  • Print your email confirmation and bring with you to the fair
  • It is essential to also bring two (2) valid forms of business identification and one (1) form of personal identification to verify that you are a genuine gift trade buyer.
  • If you wish to avoid queuing on the day you can send copies of your identification via fax 0800 900 060 please ensure you include a copy of your registration confirmation. Once your identification has been verified you will receive a barcode email to print and take to the Fair.
  • If you do not have an email address you will need to go to the registration desk to have your badge printed for you.

What forms of Identification Do You Need to Bring to the Fair

The business ID can be any of the following:

  • Personal business card
  • Company order form
  • Company cheque or bank statement
  • Supplier invoice
  • Business registration certificate; or
  • Company building lease.

The personal ID can be any of the following:

  • Your driver’s license
  • Your passport; or
  • Credit card with personal photo.

Registration on site at the fairs
There are several visitor registration counters at the shows. Pre-register if you can to avoid queues and to save time and money - registration at the show will cost you $20 for Autumn, Winter and Spring Gift Fairs.
Bring your 3 forms of identification to the show. Once your identification has been verified, your card will be printed at the onsite registration area.

Do I need to re-register if I have been to the show before?
If you have visited a NZ Gift Fair and have had your ID validated you will be emailed your personalised barcode two weeks prior to each fair. Print off this barcode email, bring it with you to the fair, scan it at any one of our e-badge stations and your entry badge will be printed for you.

This is a retail buying show that is not open to the public. A minimum volume of orders will be determined by the exhibitors. Cash and carry sales are not permitted.

Children under 16 will not be admitted to the Fairs. Babies in backpacks will be admitted but no strollers or prams allowed.

What if I forget my barcode?
Pre registered or current visitors may get their entry badges at the onsite registration desk located at each entrance to the Fair. You do not need to complete a registration form, just present your personal i.d so your record can be located on the database.

How much does it cost?
There is no entry fee for pre-registered visitors and new visitors with the proper credentials. Entry is free if you pre-register - registration at the show will cost you $20.

Will I be posted a Buyers Guide (Show Catalogue)
If you are currently registered on thevisitor database you will receive the Gift Buyer’s Guide two weeks before the show, only if you visited the same show the previous year  (i.e. if you visted Autumn Gift 2009 you will automatically receive the Autumn Gift 2010 copy). You can use the Guide to plan your visit to the show. Sourcing suppliers and products, the latest trends and details of the Show. The Guide will also act as a directory for you after the show…so hold on to it!

May I bring guests to the show?
Please do not bring clients, family or friends not employed by your business. Genuine trade buyers only will be admitted to the exhibition. 2 forms of business ID are required for registration. No accompanying guests will be admitted on the final day of the show.

A minimum volume of orders will be determined by the exhibitors. Cash and carry sales are also not permitted.

Are children permitted in the exhibition halls?
Please note that children under the age of 16 will not be admitted to the New Zealand Gift Fairs, or during show build up or breakdown. Infants in front packs and back packs are the only exception. This applies to children of exhibitors and buyers. In no case may they be admitted as a visitor or exhibitor. Pushchairs or prams will not be permitted.

Where can I get directions to Gift Fairs?
The Spring and Autumn Gift Fairs are at the ASB Showgrounds 217 Greenlane Road, Greenlane.
The South Island Gift Fair is held at the Westpac Arena, Jack Hinton Drive, adjacent to Addington Raceway in Southwest Christchurch.

PLEASE NOTE:
Convenient car parking with direct access to the new renovated ASB Showgrounds is available at the Trotts Carpark, corner of Campbell Crescent and Puriri Drive. Admission $6.00.

There is no visitor parking within the Showgrounds venue because or the large marquees.

What about hotel accommodations?
Rendezvous Hotel Auckland , Novotel and Hotel Ibis Ellerslie and The Quest in Newmarket are recommended for the Auckland Shows.
As part of our travel programme for the Fair we will be running a complimentary shuttle service between the recommended hotels listed and the Gift Fair. Shuttles will drop off and collect passengers within the ASB Showgrounds at the entry to the main concourse by Hall 1. Shuttle Times »
